the local contact person is Tuomas Toivonen.

Tuomas Toivonen works as an architect and designer in NOW OFFICE and as a part of the group Anteeksi. He also teaches at the University of Art and Design (UIAH) and produces music and sound in different contexts. At the moment, he has been working on developing and designing new products for a certain large company, a miniature cultural centre for the city of Helsinki, a few exhibition designs, an architecture textbook and a solo record.

“If you come to Helsinki for August and September, I would be interested in meeting and discussing your project, if required, help with contacts and information on how this city works, suggest people you should meet and invite you for a beer in my neighborhood.

I'm interested in architecture/design as physical manifestations of social codes and instructions for behavior. I think the social dimension is present both in the activity that generates architecture/design and in the activity that architecture/design can generate.”
