Iceland -- Hafnarborg in Hafnarfjördur

The residency is situated in Hafnarborg, the culture and fine arts institute of Hafnarfjördur. Hafnarborg lies in the very centre of Hafnarfjördur, 10 km south of Reykjavik, with regular bus connections. This coastal town has a population of about 18 000. The culture centre houses exhibitions, concerts and other cultural activities, as well as a café.

The studio and the flat (128 m2 in all) are situated on the top floor of Hafnarborg, with a good view over the harbour. The flat consists of two rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. The studio is used for accommodating invited artists working on projects in the culture centre.

Nordic AiR 2006 residencies are available during the periods January-April
and November-December 2006.
