Norway -- The Sámi Arts Centre (SDG) in Máze

MÁZE, PROVINCE OF FINNMARK (NORWAY)

Available 2-6 months between January 1 and December 31.
One studio and accommodation for one artist.

Máze, which has a few hundred inhabitants, is located in a particularly beautiful setting, 80 km from Alta and 65 km from Kautokeino in the northern province of Finnmark in Norway.

The studio is about 58 m2 and includes a studio/work room, living-room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. The studio flat is completely furnished. When necessary, the artist can be accompanied by a family member. The same building also houses workshops for Sámi artists. Exhibition space will be provided by the municipality of Kautokeino in its own premises. The Sámi Arts Centre (SDG) at Karasjok and its contact person will gladly assist the visiting artist in making contact with other artists in the area.
