Estonia -- Estonian Artists' Association in Tallinn

The residency in Tallinn has been available for Nordic artists since 1999. It is located on the top floor of the Tallinn Art Hall, next to the Estonian Artists' Association, which also manages the studio. The same building houses several studios for Estonian artists, a popular restaurant and café, a gallery and an artists' shop.

The studio is situated in the very centre of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, a city of 420 000 inhabitants. Tallinn's geographic location is especially suitable for those who want to make trips to other Baltic states, Helsinki, or Stockholm. Furthermore, it is the heart of Estonian art and business life and provides a good opportunity to get a glimpse of the Estonian ways of life, as well as to concentrate on one's artistic work.

The studio offers a magnificent view over the beautiful Old Town, the most historically rich part of Tallinn. The newly renovated, well-lit studio contains working space and accommodation on two levels, 50 m2 in all, and is fully furnished and equipped.

Nordic Air 2006 residencies are available for 1-5 months during the periods
January-February, April-June, or August-December 2006.
