About my work

I’m interested about the contemporary folk tradition: what kind of stories people do tell each other these days. My next project is a sound-comic book, which will be based on the shameful and glorious stories that I’ve recorded mostly from the people from the eastern and northern parts of Finland.

In the Fuglafjørður residency I have finished a 100-paged sound-comic book, based on the shameless, traditional, Carelian stories. I have also recorded both spoken and sung stories here, arranged a story-telling evening and an comic exhibition.
