West Balkan Air,
Albania -- Lindart in Tirana
Born 1971 in Tampere, Finland, lives and works in Turku, Finland
I am society oriented photographer working mainly with themes concerning violence, understood both in concrete and philosophical way. I have a tendency to make critically oriented works. At the moment I am preparing an exhibition called Prison sheets. All the pictures are made in museum or otherhow empty prisons, that are for political prisoners and dissidents.
Although visiting prisons also in Albania during my NIFCA-recidency I am not making pictures especially to Prison sheets -series. I want to renew both my thinking and pictorial expression. Aerlier I have worked with colour, now I am working with B/W. In Albania I am doing joint work with local artistis with the theme concerning albanian identity. My view is of course visitors view, but when that is added to albanian artists views, we may end up with interesting dialogical manifestations.
