Surely I would visit the place with the name of the Art, and I might walk
around the town, play with the Nature and record various things I will see.
However, what makes the difference between these kinds of behaviors of me
and those of the tourist? Even if I would try to keep away from the
“Tourism”, by making art related with my experiences from there, I might
have to accept to be a tourist after all. If this can be said just a hope.
But what is tourism then? The advancement of information technologies
homogenized the world so much, and diluting the border between in/out. Also
the traverse speed accelerates all the more so that the day when our travel
would no more different from a walk will come soon. That’s to say those
various ideas surrounding “Tourism” is threatened with extinction. If that
was the case, am I going for a walk as the last tourist?
During my sojourn, I will consider about “the last tourist” and visualize
them as my work, and it will be shown at the studio as occasionally.
