"Populism as elitism. Elitism as populism.
Does the public see? Does the art see?
Does the public listen? Does the art listen?
The producer as artist. The artist as producer.
The producer as art. The art as product.
Does criticism cope with art? Does art cope with criticism?
The large audience for small worlds. The small audience for the world of art."

This framework of issues was formulated in order to address and to trace out the conceptual loops in the contemporary discussion about art and exhibitions. (Anders Kreuger)

A publication, Stopping the process?, that collects papers and talks presented during the seminar, were published in 1998.
