Network North: Artists Talks
Artists' Talks, a part of the Network North programme, is a series of short informal meetings where artists present and discuss their works.
Network North is a programme for cultural exchange initiated by the Nordic Council of Ministers to consolidate dialogues between the Nordic region, the UK and Ireland. The programme focuses on contemporary art and culture in the fields of visual art, literature, music and film. The emphasis of this visual arts programme is on flexibility and on an ability to respond to opportunities arising from the development of a new network.
As a part of the Network North programme, Artists' Talks presented a series of short informal meetings where artists present and discuss their works. An invitation was extended to artist-run spaces in the Network North region - the Nordic region plus Scotland and Ireland - to invite six
speakers to talk in their space.
The participating spaces were:
Catalyst Arts, Belfast
Living Art Museum, Reykjavik
Muu, Helsinki
Oslo Kunsthall, Oslo
Signal, Malmö
Transmission, Glasgow
Proje4L, Istanbul
