Projects 2002

The Network North programme emphasises flexibility and an ability to respond to the opportunities arising from the development of a new network. To NIFCA, Network North offers an exciting opportunity to focus on commissioning work, and a key tool in this process is the new online project ionic.nifca.org. This site hosts new and existing work from all over the Network North region, with a global audience as target group.

Additionally, we hope that the increased mobility of artists and curators will create a variety of further projects. As part of Network North, some of the artists from Scotland and Ireland undertaking residencies in Helsinki have been invited to introduce their work by giving a talk every last Thursday of the month, and by showing their work in NIFCA's Project Space at Suomenlinna the weekend following.
