Summit of Micronations
Amorph!03 performance festival

Amorph!03 Introduction
The seventh Amorph! event will take place 29.8.-1.9. 2003 on Harakka island in the bay of Helsinki.
The framework for the Amorph!03 performance festival will be the first ever held summit meeting of micronations and modelstates. The festival itself can be viewed as a perfor-mance, where different activities will be presented in the context of the proposed frame-work of a summit meeting. The curators of the festival, Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta wish to acknowledge the dramatic increase of the number of micro-nation projects and endeavour to investigate their relevance. The summit therefore has no fixed agenda, but rather, it tries to define some of the common ground between the participating micro-nations. It furthermore seeks to excavate the questions relevant to the phenomenon of micro-nations with the help of a great variety of artists and intellectuals.
By bringing the micro-nations physically together, we will challenge their will and ability to communicate with each other and with the public thus leaving behind the spaces and borders they have created. Each micro-nation will open a temporary embassy at a small island in the Gulf of Finland, where most of the festivals program will take place. A number of public panels will be held together with presentations and ceremonies.
NIFCA is collaborating on a publication linked to the summit.
