nonTVTV STATION Information:: AUTUMN 2004
nonTVTVstation
nonTVTVstation is an Internet distributed channel for art. An artist is invited to produce a one month long piece in real-time for real-time distribution. nonTVTVstation will during the autumn be shown at Kiasma in Helsinki, Reykjavik Art Museum, the Swedish-Finnish School in Haparanda, Furtherfield in London and the county museums in Gävle, Visby, Karlskrona and Västerås. This autumn nonTVTVstation will show projects by Beeoff, Björn Aho and a number of projects within the Get Real! show at Kiasma.

Mattias Petersson: Suspensions
Beeoff: Tentacle
The Swedish artists group Beeoff and the nonTVTVstation will take part in ISEA 2004 at Kiasma with a project called the Tentacle. The Tentacle is a plastic sculpture that collects input from the surroundings and transposes them to a video stream and sound, everything in real-time. There will be another Tentacle at Numerique at La Villette in Paris and the two pieces will communicate with each other. The piece will be screened with a back projection inside the Tentacle sculptures and also transmitted via Internet to nonTVTVstation.

Björn Aho
Björn Aho is a Finnish artist who in his previous works has worked with installations in combination with long duration performances.
Get Real!
The Get Real! exhibition is the first exhibition with real-time art made. It is produced by Splintermind in collaboration with Kiasma and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde. It will open at Kiasma November 11th.
