The number two has a special significance for graphic artist Melek Mazici. Many of her pictures and installations feature figures and shapes in pairs. The relationship between the two figures in her pairings is very intense, creating a rhytm which a single image, person or shape is unable to produce. Two images beside each other convey a primal force that is recognisable human.
