The studio is located in the culture house USF. More than 50 artists work in the centre, which is also used for various cultural activities. Additionally, there are two studios for international artists, a popular café, a gallery, a cinema and concert spaces.
The city of Bergen with its aproximately 250 000 inhabitants is situated on the west coast of Norway. Bergen has an active art life with an Art Academy, a school for Arts and Crafts, an art museum and a wide range of galleries.
The studio (95 m2) includes a kitchenette and a shower. The separate accommodation consists of a newly renovated flat at a ten-minute walk from the USF. The flat (50 m2) consists of a room, a kitchen and a bathroom, fully furnished and equipped with all conveniences.
Nordic AiR 2006 residencies are available during the period
January-December 2006.
