Finland -- The Artist Centre of Inari in Koppelo

The Artist Centre of Inari is a centre for training and workshops, providing residence for Finnish and for visiting foreign artists in the village of Koppelo in the Inari municipality. It is located by the shore of the Ivalo River and operates in connection with the Koppelo village school. Two rooms, kitchen, WC and sauna (52 mē in total) are available to the artists. The residence does not include a studio, but this can be arranged upon request. The distance from Ivalo to Koppelo is 10 km.

Located at 1165 km distance from Helsinki, with a population of c. 7 500 and covering 17 321 square kilometres, Inari is the largest municipality in Finland, situated right in the middle of Lapland's fell area. Large forests and fell area wilderness surround the lakes, islands and streams, and provide a variety of nature as only Lapland can.

Nordic Air 2006 residencies available during the period June-July and November 2006.
