Sarajevo Center for Contemporary Art (SCCA) is an independent non-profit professional organisation working with the promotion and development of contemporary visual arts and new media in Bosnia and Herzegovina.


SCCA works in specific post-war conditions, where the lack of a system of culture and arts, art history studies, education in new media, contemporary arts magazines and information on new developments in art must be taken into account. In a country going through the difficult process of economic and social reconstruction and transition, the principle tasks and missions of the SCCA – Sarajevo are to keep contemporary non-commercial art alive (by giving logistic, material and professional support) and to involve in the international arts scene.
