Selected biography

Otto von Busch is a fashion designer and style theorist trying his best to shake the certainty we take for granted and the "common sense" by defying the operating system of modernity and fighting interpassivity. As a subversive partisan he is focusing on the realm between the second skin and the clothed body in the modes of fashion production.
Has a background in art and fashion theory and been teaching and lecturing in design theory all the way from Scandinavia to China. Now a researcher in design performing artistic action research on the possibilities of design based on social reorganization, participation and methods of resistance through design.
Enjoys the Lycra idea applied to identities and sewing machine recycling.
During the residency in Tallinn Otto was working with collaborative fashion production at the Merimetsa Rehabilitation Centre in a project called [RE_TALL]iation. See more at www.selfpassage.tk .
