Serbia and Montenegro -- Belgrade Contemporary Art Museum in Belgrade

After a decade of Slobodan Milosevic’s regime and political changes in October 2000, Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade has been re-opened and re-established as a regional cultural centre.

The new exhibition programming of MoCAb highlights current art activity taking place on a local, regional and international basis. One of the first exhibition, in this new “era”, was presentation of visual ideas entitled “Konverzacija” (Conversation). This exhibition, gathering 50 international and regional young artists, reinforced the regional communication and brought back Belgrade on the map of the international art scene.

Org, international project which is concerned with information technologies an communication systems, The Last East European Show, international exhibition of contemporary Eastern European art and “Thank you Rasa Todosijevic” retrospective of one the most important figure on Serbian and ex-YU art scene etc. The Salon of the MOCAb is a venue for contemporary art shows, that in the last 3 years hosted shows of many Serbian and international artists.
